Diante da característica menos feliz daqueles que nos rodeiam, cabe a reflexão cuidadosa e sincera acerca do quanto temos a aprender com o que nos incomoda. Seja porque portamos tal elemento e não nos damos conta ou sequer conhecemos; seja porque precisamos atentar para o que já identificamos como comportamento ou traço prejudicial e que, pela disciplina, precisa ser evitado; seja porque aquela postura, aquela manifestação desagradável apresenta elementos importantes a serem considerados no desenvolvimento ou fortalecimento de pontos vulneráveis em áreas específicas de nossa vida.
Aprender com o outro, sempre que possível! No pior ou no melhor, no que nos parece tão óbvio ou nas surpresas encantadoras, no aparentemente conhecido ou naquilo que nos escapa compreensão… Inúmeras oportunidades ofertadas ao crescimento, ao aprimoramento do que já conquistamos, à assimilação de diferentes conceitos, valores, estratégias mais eficazes. O que nos causa espanto pode ser a chave da leveza de que necessitamos… O que nos provoca asco muitas vezes a “dica” para a libertação de duras angústias… O que nos desperta inveja… a pista de uma necessidade não atendida, mal interpretada, ou mesmo das negligências que nos atrasam os passos…
Então, coragem! Encarar o que preferimos não ver é difícil, sem dúvida! Mas é libertador, quando levado a sério como compromisso com a verdade pessoal; e não tão a sério quando relacionado ao ego e seus desejos caprichosos de superioridade ou acomodados de uma inferioridade preguiçosa. Como fazer? Pedindo ajuda, reforçando proteção e inspiração nas orações, lendo, pesquisando, mantendo-nos abertos ao novo, experimentando e exercitando novas condutas, colocando-nos à prova, negociando com a sombra… Fazendo o nosso melhor, com o outro e com nós mesmos, através do esforço contínuo pela sintonia com o Bem, modificamo-nos e encontramos os reais motivos de felicidade, guardados como preciosidades que são, no Amor…
